May God grant you always...
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel so nothing can harm you.

Have you ever tried to take pictures of a 5 year old?
It's not easy to take pictures of someone who has more energy than 5 of me and is so full of spunk. But if you keep trying, you just might end up with a shot you love. Not technically perfect but adorable just the same!
Actually, I use marine vinyl that I got at JoAnn Fabrics. The trick is getting more light behind your subject than you do in front without the light bleeding onto them. I failed miserably in the last shot but I made it work by burning the edges all the way around to make it look intentional. I love the vinyl for shoots because you can wipe it clean - make all the messes you want or even shoot a naked baby without worrying about them peeing on your backdrop!
Thanks! It's actually marine vinyl that I got at JoAnn Fabrics. It's great because you can clean up any messes really easily during a shoot (even babies with no diapers aren't a problem!) The trick is to get more light behind the subject than in front without the light bleeding over. I failed miserably on the lighting in the last shot but I just burned around the edges to make it look intentional!
