Flowers in the snow?

I planted these Gerbera Daisies in our front window box after the Spring Auction in April. They are supposed to be annuals and should have pulled out in the fall. They thrived all summer, never ceasing to bloom. I have had people ask me if they are fake because the blooms are so big and perfect and vibrant. But they really are real flowers! And now - in the middle of a snowstorm where we are expecting up to 10inches of snow by tomorrow morning - there are still blooms in my window box. Some of the blooms are dead but all 7 of the plants have healthy looking green leaves and this one yellow plant continues to bloom. I just haven't had the heart to pull them out! I just had to take a picture to save these beautiful blooms forever!

That's something we don't see here in Texas -- snow! When it does, it's usually gone by the end of the day. Great photo!

It's Cheryl. Got your blog URL, so I thought I'd check it out. Keep it up! I certainly can't.
