RIP LCpl Kenneth Corzine. Hundreds of Patriot Guards on motorcycles, the American Legion from Jerseyville, and thousands of people lining the streets. Flags all over town. Protesters, yes. But they didn't get the reaction they hoped for. I'm sure there were other groups from other VFW's, Legions, you name it. But I only saw the line up on Moreland Rd. There were more all the way down 140 from Zion to the cemetary and I wish I could've seen them all. An amazing showing of patriotism. Thank you to all involved. It was cold and windy but most people stayed at least until the protesters left. And luckily they left before the funeral was over so the family never even saw them. All the kids from Zion even got out of class and waved flags as the processional passed. Awesome.
RIP Kenny and prayers to his parents, siblings (many active duty), his girl friend and 3 year old daughter.
